Your fundraising will help tackle fear and discrimination often faced by people with leprosy. Whole villages will become communities that support people to come forward for diagnosis and treatment, knowing they will continue to be accepted and enabled to live their best lives.
In Jakarta, your efforts will make it easier for the healthcare system to educate workers and communities alike about leprosy and receive the services they need.
Sign your team up or request to join the TLMA Supporter team. You and your team will run, swim, walk, or use your wheelchair to move your bodies a total of 492 kilometres during the month of August.
Set up your fundraising page so people know what the challenge is and why you are doing it.
Share your fundraising page with everyone - family and friends, your organisation or group. The more people you connect with the more funds you will raise!
You and your team will move your bodies the distance between The Leprosy Mission Australia projects in Indonesia - and back again. Get super fit and give people affected by leprosy, like Siti, the chance to be free from this awful disease. Without treatment the leprosy bacteria will continue to attack Siti, potentially causing life-long disabilities, discrimination, and the loss of her dream to become a doctor. Will you move your body to cure a child like Siti?
Here's what 492km's or thereabouts looks like!
The event runs from August 1st - 31st
Form your own team or join the TLMA Supporters Team. You can even sign up as an individual if long distance is your thing! Upload and track your k's via Strava, other apps or manually.
